The city of Palma de Mallorca – the pearl of Mediterranean

Natural Park of Sa Dragonera

The beautiful Sierra de Tramuntana is being hidden in the sea by its southwest side when it reaches the municipality of Sant Elm to emerge 800 meters beyond in the form of an island, the island of Sa Dragonera.

There are four different itineraries that can be done on the island, all perfect for most hiking enthusiasts.

Port d’Andratx in the southwest of Mallorca

Port of Sóller and the town of Sóller on the west coast of Mallorca

The bay, sheltered from the winds by high coastal ledges and the Tramuntana mountain range, is surrounded by the highest peaks of the island: the Puig Major 1,445 meters high, Puig del Ofre (1090 m), Sierra de Alfabia (1000 m) and Es Teix (1050 m).

You might wish to go ashore and ride the train along the orange road — the railroad that was used in the last century to deliver oranges to the port from gardens deep in the island.

Bay Sa Calobra and canyon Torrent de Pareis (Gates of heaven)

The picturesque bay of Sa Colobra with pebble and snow-white sand beaches, with incredibly clear water, located between two huge rocks, is a real gem of the north coast of Mallorca. But you will be speechless when you discover the Torrent de Pareis – the Gates of Paradise. Built with water currents for millions of years, with large fish in the river and mountain goats on the slopes, it amazes with majestic beauty.

Cap de Formentor

At the Cap de Formentor the top end of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range meets the Mediterranean. ‘Cap’  literally means ‘end ’.

Caló des Moro

Small virgin beach with white sand Caló des Mororounded by pines, bushes and lentisc, is situated at two nautical miles from the Port Cala Figuera de Santanyí Being one of the best kept secret beaches of the island, this is the most crowded beach of this area in the summer months, so finding place to lie on a towel might be a problem. But that won’t disturb you enjoy picture perfect steep cliffs and swimming and snorkeling in the translucent turquoise blue water.

Porto Cristo and the most well-known caves of Mallorca, Cuevas del Drach

On the east side of the island in Porto Cristo  are located the best known caves in Mallorca – the Caves of Drach. A little inland from Porto Cristo are the karst caves of Covas dels Hams.

Paradise beaches Es Trenc, Es Caragol y Es Carbó located in the south

The best beaches in Mallorca with kilometers of white sand and turquoise waters. So, prepare a snorkel tube and a towel and go to relax to what we could define as the true paradise.

National Park of Cabrera 

Crystal water, calm and relaxing beaches of S’Espalmador, Sa Platgeta or Cas Pages, thousands of fish, dolphins and turtles, sea urchins, octopuses, crabs and cuttlefish among many other species of marine life, shrub-covered cliffs on which live predatory birds and seabirds, a medieval fortress, from the ruins of which at an altitude of 72 meters above sea level offer wonderful panoramic views, a beautiful underwater grotto Sa Cova Blava with an impressive seabed.

In this privileged and very sheltered place you can spend a wonderful day.

Note: In the Cabrera National Park is forbidden to anchor near the archipelago, berthing is possible only in Cabrera Bay, where for visitors are installed 50 receiving buoys, indicating the size of boats and yachts that can moor to them. Permits for berthing at buoy are issued by the Balearic Islands Transportation Department for one or two days depending on the season.
